Car not been used for two months , battery trickle charged but key fob won‘t work despite new battery and also boot won’t open manually . Any ideas.

If the car cranks and runs.. the 12volt battery isnt your problem

Does the remote Plip release the tailgate?

If it does then the microswitch in the tailgate FIAT Button is likely to be damp / corroded :-(

My panda only works after 2 x sunny days now.. but Plip opens the boot latch ok
