General punto engine in panda ?? help please :)

i am from the panda forum..please help !

i was going to replace my bottom end of my panda with my old uno engine.

but im thinking i would LOVE !! a 1242cc 4x4 panda.

so... from the reasearch iv done i understand...

the gearbox will fit fine.

the panda engine mount will replace the punto one

i can bolt my dizzy and dizzy block onto the 1242 head and get rid of horrid injection.

and i can replace the injection thingy and inlet manifold with my
panda one and panda carb, and then put bigger jets in my carb .

BUT ! can i put my panda head onto the 1242 block ?
will it affect stuff ? and will it fit ?
that would solve exhaust alignment and fuel pump probs.

a few years ago i was told the punto 75 engine would fit straight into a uno 45s carb, all that was needed was to put on the unos dizzy,inlet manifold and carb, the panda has the same engine as the uno
and the uno exhaust fits straight on

oh ok, cheers for the info, i thought the exhaust was lower ? or higher, cant remember now !
