Technical Punto coil pack problem

I have bought a 2001 1.2 Punto, it was a non runner, I can do almost anything so was hoping maybe headgasket or even an engine change, I tried the car and it will run but on two cylinders.

I removed the plugs and put them into the leads to find that one coil pack was not giving a spark, I borrowed from another car a coil pack and tried that but with the same result, could this be Ecu ?

As in your other post, there are ECU tests in the FAQs/Guidews. top of page.

Could be. Could be simply a bad connection on the low tension side of the coil. Whip out the multimeter.

thanks for your reply, I thought moving my post here would be the correct place, will check the guides, if this Ecu can I just swap them over or is it more complicated

Better to get your existing one fixed. Replacement ones can be virginised, but you can't just swap over as you'll need a new lock set, keys, code box and ECU.
