Hi, wife as had trouble getting her PUNTO S60 1998 into gear, clutch had to be pushed all the way to floor, now its gone altogether.Theres no resistance on the clutch pedal,it just floors and impossible to get any gear.Any suggestions, thanks in advance,THarris.

Normally, I would say the clutch friction plate has worn, however, the complete lack of resistance in the pedal suggests a hyrdaulic fault. The clutch slave cylinder is located on top of the transmission housing. Get someone to press the clutch pedal in and out as you look at the cylinder, checking that it moves and there are no leaks.
