General punto 75

Ive got a problem with my punto sometimes it seems to rev up to 2500rpm (when its hot or cold)and stays there until i turn it off and then takes a long time to start again and then its fine 9I think the problem may be with the cold start ) any one had this problem. any suggestions appreciated

it will be a faulty idle control valve located in the throttle body

Hi thanks for that, is that also known as the idle stopper motor which sits on the side of the housing with two philips screws , and is this part interchangable with other engine sizes mine is 1250cc

idle stepper motor yes should be interchangeable from the 55 and 60 not sure thou


it runs parallel with the idle passage in the front of the throttle body it is fixed in from the left as you stand infront of the car
