Technical Punto 55 non start??????

Hi. I've just joined up and i'm after a bit of technical advice.
I've got a punto 55 1.1 n reg. I've just changed the water pump and the thing will not start.
I replaced the cam belt at the same time. I've checked and re-checked the cam timing. The only thing i can think I've done is I forgot to put the alternator belt on and put it on after by pulling out the crank sensor. Is it possible that by disturbing it it has given up?

I have no spark and i can't hear the fuel pump whirring.

i know it might sound stupid, but last time i had this problem it turned out that the battery cable was just not propperly tight.

Did you take off the earth lead at back of engine? Any other wiring
disconnected?

Did you damage the crak sensor in anyway(wiring/connectors)resistance should be 600-850 ohms(pump should still run though)

common thing is people dont notice little pin in crank end thats there because the crank pully can only go in 1 place
