right, i dunno if this is a major problem or if its just what i think it is.

i have noticed when i am driving the steerining wheel sometimes gives a sharp pull to the right, i have noticed one of my tyres is looking a bit down so wondered could that cause a problem, bearing in mind the car passed its MOT about 5 weeks ago......

Mine's doing that just now because the right hand wishbone bush is knackered so it's letting the wheel steer slightly all by itself. Nothing too dramatic but the car doesn't feel too secure. Only happens under power though - even gentle 5th gear acceleration.

Never thought You'd have trouble pulling!!!!

I would say a suspension fault? Mine does tend to try to steer me into oncoming traffic during HARD acceleration, This is just 220 horses trying to escape thru two small patches of rubber!!!
I wouldn't say this is the case with yours.

Better than mentioning the other type of pulling

When it happens, is it for say a few seconds only? Could be something known as tramlining which can happen with wide tyres, where the tyres will pick up any small rut or mark in the road and follow it.

Also check your front tyres for wear - excess wear on either the inner or outer edges could mean the tracking's to cock, about £20 to fix.

Another thing to check, grab hold of the wheel/tyre and rive it about. Hard. See if there's any movement or clonking.

It is quite common for the Fiat Coupes to req new track rod ends, bushes and wish bones around the 40000-50000 miles or around the 4-5 year mark due to the weight distribution of 67% on the front axel.

Tyre pressures can also have an impact on the overall ride - due again to the weight distribution the factory tyre pressures are 39 psi on the front and 32 psi on the rear.

that tramlining sounds like it could be it.....

I'd expect tramlining to happen in both directions i.e. sudden jerks to the left and right. Is this the case or are you just getting this effect to the right. If so I'd expect that the wishbone has had it. Easy to fix, and not expensive, check your alignment after it's fixed.

EDIT - I know it's already been said, but could be Track control arm bushes, anti-rollbar bushes are there any noises when you drive it when this happens.
