Qubo 1.3JTD 2011 My engine management amber warning has been on for several thousand miles. The DTC fault code is P2453. I can clear it but it comes back within a few miles.

Car seems to run OK, although fuel economy is slightly lower than normal. (An 'Italian tune up' when I was in Spain in the summer cleared the problem for a few days.)

I changed the DPF differential pressure sensor but it made no difference.

Not got the dosh for the Fiat dealer at the mo.

Anyone got a suggestion as to what I might try?

Any advice welcome. Ciao Bunterboy

It's probably the dpf , clue being Italian tune up helped before.

Dpf cleaner could be worth a try

Thanks Jackwhoo I did wonder about that, not checked all the pipework properly yet either. Need to get it sorted before MOT in March.

I just spotted one of the pipes feeding the sensor has a hole in it, might be the cause. Let's hope so!

So today on closer inspection one rubber hose has a a hole burnt in it the thinner one has some heat damage too, both are around 10cm long. I managed to change both and replace the original sensor. I cleared the fault codes and so far the warning light has not come back on. My only worry is I used braided fuel pipe, perhaps it should have been silicone. Might not last long.
