General Problems are me being paranoid?

I own a 2007 1.9 bravo multijet active, 1st problem When im accelerating i can hear a ticking over the whistle of the turbo is this a problem as iv bein to my local fiat garage and they say cant find anything wrong.But my fiancees dad's diesal megane dosnt tick like this does.
2nd problem Recently my fiancee tells me brakes have gone spongey and you have to press quite hard to brake as before you didnt have to press hard, is it general wear and tear, breaks need bleeding etc . please help

Well for the ticking noise side of things do you have any power loss or anything, i presume you have checked your oil level/condition.

As for your brakes it is my understanding that the brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years.

But seeing as the car is still in warranty, what does the dealer say about the brakes ? maybe ask them to do a health check of the car and see if they come back with anything.

oil levels were fine still pulls like a train. Is it worth going to a reliable garage for a second opinion on the ticking and brake issues, then go back to fiat with their findings, then maybe go higher if needs be.

The ticking could be the tappets. Our Bravos both tick a little even when warm - its a characteristic of the engine.

Yep mine does it to especially when cold but of late its fading and or doesnt tick at all. when warmed up no noises.

The tapping gets loud as i drive faster, dosnt fade off :-(

If the tapping doesnt go away when its been running for a few minutes then something is up. Dealer time im afraid.

i thought so when i took it last time they said its nothin untoward, but i have a feeling they cant be assed fixing it. Taking it do a freinds garage whos a renault dealer trained mechanic whos bein in the trade for over 30 years and see what he says. If he says its not right will go to fiat and tell them to get it fixed, and if they dont will go higher. Thanksfor everyones comments
