Technical Problem with the GT starting

Hi,

I have a little problem with the GT, starting up from cold sometimes and it really hesitates, to the point of it wanting to stall. It dosent.
If i hit the gas a little the car revs and the revs stay there (around 2 or 3000 revs) Then slowly it settles down, hit the gas again and it will do that again.

This last for about seconds, and something kicks in maybe? and it all settles down.

If i was to do the above but drive straight off the car dosent respond to anything. Foot on the gas, in gear and it just struggles to move.

Few seconds later its all fine.

Anyone no what this could be? It isnt the Plugs.

Maybe the Idle Control Valve?

had a problem like this on a gt, it turned out to be the air flow meter

afm is a likely cause

do you have any after market air filters on your car these are normally the main cause of destroyed air mass meters
