General Problem With Pipercross filter

Had my pipercross filter on my car now for about a month and a half. Lifted my bonnet the other day and happened to notice the top of the filter is wearing away the black fabric sound proofing on the inside of the bonnet. Just wondered if anyone else is having the same problem. Pipercross is abviously at fault and will be taking my filter back asap.

Take the soundproofing off.

Can't be bothered with the hassle. Filter hasn't really improved performance just got rid of the 3k flat spot. Think i'll get the K and N instead. Car might be going next year any way. Looking at the Lupo GTi.

Ive got a K+N on my punt and its wearing away the soundproofing
At least i know im not gonna lose it by it coming off.
I think the only thing to do if your worried is to take the soundproofing off like Pete said.

Not wourth messing i gonna put the original box on or get the k and n. Lupo GTi is calling me in my sleep lol. 125 break. had a VW polo for my first car so think i going back to VW. Not that there is anything worng with FIAT at all. I always defend FIAT when people come out with the Fix It Again Tomo garbage. Work as an auto electrician aswell and i can honastly say the worst cars are Peugeots and Renaults.
