Fiat Punto Mk1 1997 Petrol; problem starting engine, sometimes I get no response dashboard doesn’t light up and completely dead more times it’s faint and turning ignition key the dash lights dies.There is no cranking of the starter motor, More times it light up and the ecu light goes out on turning the ignition key it fires right away and off I go. I sometimes get a clicking sound from the B047 box just over the air filter when it wont start but from what I understand this is the fuel pump relay and shouldn’t be causing the problem. Battery is not great and if car is not started within 10 days it needs to be charged up. Since engine starts most times I can presume it’s not the problem and often after numerous attempts it starts.
