Technical Problem again this time creaking noise

As some of you might have read my last post last week was in relation to broken coil springs and strut bearings and fixed under warranty.

Came back from work tonight and hearing creaking from driver's side front when pulling away. Different from the sounds re the above issues.

Any thoughts welcome.

Will drop into Ayr Fiat in the morning and ask them to have a look.

Door lock. Well documented on here, can rattle or creak or both.

If you drive with the window open (drivers side) try giving the window a quick jolt up a touch via the window switch.

Thanks for the reply Ffoxy, but don't think that is it. Drove the car a short distance with the door open, still there.

Noise seems to be low down on drivers side around wheel/ hub area.

Dry balljoint maybe, or wishbone bush....?

No mate, took the car to Fiat Ayr before going to my office.

Spoke to service advisor, tech arrived and opened bonnet and found that the rubber grommet for the pipe which leads to the air filter had perished/loosened.

Tightened up and secured and road test.

No more probs.

Well done again Fiat Ayr.

hello

i have a creaking noise when pulling off and turning right in low gear.
did the noise sound a bit like the exhaust knocking but from the drivers front wheel.
The reason i ask is my noise started after picking it up from an MOT and Service, I have had it back to the garage who said they can't find anything wrong.

that could be it....

open your bonnet

Look at the air box,

at the front of it there is a Pipe connected

follow this down (towards the front of the drivers side wheel arch)

there is a Pip on it this pushes into the metal bracket...

bit below where dipstick is marked

That's where my problem was located and fixed.
