Technical probably a stupid question about coolant

ok, so engine is in and just need wiuring up and oiling and coolanting... soooo...

ive got some halfrauds coolant .. pete says 2 litres should be fine for a 50:50 mix. now this is what confuses me. does this mean, 50% coolant and 50% water?

halfrauds say for a cinq 2.5Litres for 50% mix. so i am presuming the other 50% is water? yes?

50 50 is half water half coolant

You can probably get away with using less than that. I think 50 50 mix protects to something like -25C which lets face it we would have to suffer a super super mightly cold in order to need it to protect that low.

if you use decent coolant too at that concentration, it should provide some good protection against boiling when overheating.

well the coolant says ital protect to 108 degrees.. i didnt wanna pay the extra for the fancy halfrauds stuff so ital do me never had any probs using it in the past.

ill do a 50/50 mix tho as i bought 3 litres so have some to spare
