Interesting - surely if the fuse had blown, it wouldn't have come back on again.

You got enough fluid in the pump?

The lack of hornage could cause many problems but I doubt it's related ;)

If your horn gets fixed simply by changing fuse/connectors/horn, i would say definitely not.

I am regularly topping up the fluid in my Mondeo - a slight leak in the system, but I can live with it.

However, never lose power steering as such, just get a nice rasping noise instead [V]

The Bravo/a is fluid based so yes, it is worth checking. Haven't had a problem with mine but if it's the bottle I think it is it's really hard to see how full it is.

If it's the fluid type power steering - think it is on the Bravo - you might just need the reservoir bottle topping up.

Pete.
i knew there was something i needed to ask. Where do ya get power steering fluid from? My Dad's Marea always needs topping up at the annual service and he would much prefer to be able to do it himself

cheers

Have a look in the manual, it's probably something like Dexron or automatic transmission fluid. Halfords etc. stock it.

there's a tank with a steering wheel sticker on the top. I think yours is fluid, Sammi. My dad's Marea is and they were kinda the same car under the bonnet

I use that Dexron III fluid stuff, Castrol if I recall. Red in colour - just get a bottle from Halfrauds, nice and easy!

The resevoir in car should have a MIN and MAX level indicator on it - you checked that?
