Technical powering up the ECU out the car

Does anyone know which pins need power, or a signal to power up the ECU to a state where i can communicate with it over a serial link? would be handy to know!

I have a spare ecu and wiring loom to play with

Look at the tech. doc... all wires that need feed are in that...

..If you want the rest of the sensors etc, let me know. the 899cc needs breaking!!
