General Power steering

Has anyone else noticed the steering being alot heavier when starting up in the morning. Disappears after 30 seconds or so, and just seems very low on assistance.

Dunno if it's weather related or not.

Not me guv,

You would think the steering would be easier with the oil being cold and thicker........perhaps there is a pressure relief valve to compensate for cold oil and yours is over doing it. (idea not based on solid fact.....just made it up)

I will ask Jules if she has noticed anything unusual, after all she is the one who tends to drive it from cold in the morning. Isn't the PAS adaptive anyway, so may just be going through a warm-up cycle or something.

Haven't noticed anything amiss on mine.
The oil being thicker when cold could make the steering heavier.
