I have a 2005 Panda 4*4 Climbing and there is a power outlet however when I put my IPod charger in, the hole is too big, is there a piece missing out of the unit? On his car (none fiat) it fits noie and snug and powers on)

My mate also put his in Nokia charger in the outlet and again the outlet is too big and no power comes on.

Do I need to replace the outlet ?

Thanks for advice

I could be wrong, so this might not be right, but there are two sizes of vehicle power plugs in use by various manufacturers. A normal sized socket that was built for cigarette lighters, or the narrow version known as a DIN plug (I think). I'm not so sure what adapters are available, but a trip to the local car shop might be in order?

Thanks Found problem Blown 20A fuse Now working ....

Except Cigar lighter bulb blown also, so dunno where to get one of those!

The fuse blows easily for the power outlet/cig lighter -- 2 reasons: (1) plugging in something that uses more power than the fuse can supply (not many things will), and (2) as discovered to my cost, dropping a bit of kitkat foil when the socket had nothing in it!

Bulb is an easy fix - small 1.2w wedge ended bulb -- and the panel with the socket in it simply prises out. I posted some photos here in the past -- I'll search for the link for you...

[alter: here's the link that shows where the light is -- the black housing slides off to replace the bulb. This car (mine!) has electric mirrors too and that's the other wiring in the photo

Thanks for reply

I can assume that the unit blew because my 2yo dropped a 1 cent coin down which is a good fit and must have blow it.

Ive had the unit out and took the bulb out but I could not see what type it was. I will look for those bulbs on ebay

thanks

Gary
