hi i have been tying to get this question answered for a while now

i have searched the forums but to no clear avail

i have purchased the rear suspension bushes from fiat the bodge kind ie big washer with rubber cup now my question is

witch side of the bush do i slip them over everyone says just slip them over top so does this mean i put them between floor of car and bush or do i put them under bush where bolt goes through.

this is very confusing and at 68.00 for the set i dont want to do it wrong

me thinks i paid well over odds for these as i have since been told they are a lot cheaper. ah well paid for now grr

if someone could post a pic or a hand drawing i would be very apreciated

or even mail me one at

also if they mount under the bottom ie near where the bolt head is which way up ie cup facing upto floor of car or cup facing down to road.

also is the torque wrench setting the same as it is for the normal bushes.

ps its for rear suspension on a fiat punto

this is how we do it on a ramp.
gun off subframe bolt, put cup washer thinggy on boly, cup facing upwards, gun up bolt.
and then the same for the other side, it takes about 30 seconds for the pair.
pretty much every single punto ever serviced at a main dealer had them done
you can probly guess why.

thanks very much i will now get them fitted do you bye any chance know if the torque wrench settings are the same as in manual for the bolt or has it changed with adding this bush

i dont think so although in most cases a bolt like this would be done ft.
