Technical Please help Ulysse 2.0 16v 2005 Eleganza

We are having problems with our tailgate on above car.
Its not opening only on the emergency opening with screwdriver.
There is no sound when you press the button to open it with so assuming maybe fuse or relay, could someone please point us in the right direction to where these are please? so we can try them before taking to garage.

Try checking the rear wash pipe has not come disconected, check right hand side in boot remove plastic cover, if wet you will have to dry relays.

Funnily enough I just had this problem myself (i.e. today). With the usual fantastic timing it happened 3 hours before I was due to get the car valued for a PartEx (so I had to cancel it!). Maybe the old girl doesn't want to go .

I scanned the forum (becnwayne - run a search there a loads of threads on the issue, as always... this is such a good forum) and it gave me enough information to fix but it was not the exact fix (I do not think).

Symptoms:
Car just been MOT'd
Person driving forgot the "Ulysee Rule" to NEVER use the rear screen wash!
Boot will not open
Car says "boot is open" and will not lock door

My fix:
Climb in. Remove cladding from boot (4 screws)
Notice rear washer hose is disconnected from wiper (i.e. at the back, not over the ECU as normal)
Fix it. Open boot as per manual (and another thread on this forum)
Soak up the water (lots of it)
Hairdryer on the electrics (behind the rear number plate) for 15 minutes
Wait....
Disconnect battery for 10 mins
Reconnect. Ignore anti-theft failure warnings. Start car.
Stop car.
Problem fixed.
Drink beer.

Hope that helps if anyone gets the same problem.
