Hi All,
The kids are absolutely desperate to 'pimp' their mum's Multipla for a laugh and are driving me insane after watching some programme on an obscure Freeview channel - just don't ask!!!
Anyway, I can get hold of some bits and pieces that were designed for 'modding' computer cases - long cold cathode lights, flashing led strips and such like. I think that these all run off 12V.
Question is can I just run these directly off the Multipla nominal 12V line? How close to 12V is it when the alternator is running (isn't it closer to 14V and so might blow the lights if i do not limit voltage/current?) and if so could I just put a simple resistor or voltage regulator in series with the lights? I don't know much about electronics but can build simple circuits etc so any advice would be gratefully received so I can shut the little darlings up!
Thanks in advance,
Mark
