What is it that you are planing to do with it  I wouldnt use that pic for anything that you are going to put your businesses name too. Im not knocking the cutting out thats not to bad considering the q of the J-peg but perhaps i could help.

Thats not a bad job, id just mask and tint the windows slightly, and smooth the wheels a little. If its going to be on a business card though it should be fine when scaled.

Like i said the cutout isnt that bad he has done as the OP asked and quite well but he has a three wheeled van and half a punto in the window as you said.
You will be surprised how you can push potential customers away with simple things like that. If you are starting a business and using Graphic promotion do it at least half properly. I could but i would have to charge :D
If you are not puting a realistic background behind the van then take the photo almost laying on the ground so you can see all tyres and take the shadow with it.

The van is only going to be faint in the background of the business card, the reason the van is in it is because everybody knows the van, and knows that my dad is a builder and im a plumber, we currently work for some1 but work is looking tight so we are going to have a go on our own

It's easy to use, but difficult to master!

Basically it's like any software package...The more you learn, the better the results....

Photoshop Elements is the cut-down version and you could probably pick up an 'older' one quite cheap (6 or 7 are very good), and it will do more than enough for you if you want to learn it....

Yeah i find that it is myself that makes things more difficult when i forget what is going on with my layers and why i have one in front of the other basically forgetting the reasoning behind the actions.
I am getting better having just helped to rebrand Airfix and actually creating master files for their packaging myself as im sure many designers will find that a lot of packaging is just a template that has been many times over and over or just an adaptation of a previous model, so this has been a pretty good learning curve for me, seeing that i specialise in Graphic illustration.
Also Photoshop is useless without Illustrator and vice-versa.

Paintshop iirc, uses layer and could be a very basic software but more advanced thatn just paint.

Photoshop is better the more you learn as others have said and there are plenty of guides on the net.

Youtube search: Tutvid.
Or google it as he maybe has his own site.

I use photoshop regulary now in imaging and find it useful tool to have in graphical work.
