General phone charger

have any of you guys ever used an in car charger, first used mine last night and there was a slight smell of burning, just wondering if this is normal, maybe because it's new? or whether to bin it. anyone had any problems with these things?

dont like the sound of burning, only problem i hav had is that they dont fit to well in the lighter socket. have you got more than one if so mauybe try other one see if smell still there

why would i want to spend god only knows how much on a kit, when I can just buy a charger and use my bluetooth ear-piece? hmmmm
