just got a letter this morning from fiat regarding leaky fuel tanks,do a search for "Saftey recall" i attatched a copy of the letter.
should be done for free
Get a non genuine one like me £60, (genuine £180) and a local garage shouldnt charge more than 2 hours labour £60-80ish, i saved on the fitting as i did it myself, and is easily done in 2 hours ,drain petrol, remove exhaust, handbrake cables, and connecting pipes, tank, remove and refit sender unit in tank, coat the tank in grease then refit! read the haynes manual for tips and pics! Ant!

Just wanted to update...
Despite not recieving a recall for the petrol tank on my 2001 seicento I took your advice and called my local fiat garage who have replaced my tank for free including labour etc.
Thanks for the advice - without it I would have been out of pocket!
