Hi Forumistas

Its been awhile since I posted - the cars have been well behaved so little need to pop into the forums

I have an issue. My 2011 Abarth 500 has developed a strong smell of petrol inside the cabin - only when parked. When I drive it it tends to go way, then again I drive it with vent on and windows down. Park it inside the garage after a drive and there is little smell, but the next time I take it out its back again. The smell seems like it is stronger in the boot area than the front seats

I have had two very good specialist mechanics look at it only to find nothing obviously wrong. One changed the O-ring to the fuel pump on spec ....cannot say it improved the smell

Any ideas ?? Any help would be appreciated

PS: My A5oo is a bit of garage princess nowadays (I do about 1000/2000 kms pa) especially since that other garage floozy (A124 Spider) arrived on the scene

When I had this problem, there were 2 pipes on top of the tank. They rubbed on each other and caused a leak. Apparently, it's a common fault and the new pipes are modified so that they can't rub on each other.
