Petrol cap problem, Grande Punto

Hi, I have just started getting issues locking my petrol cap, the lock is working, I can turn the lock but when I replace the cap and turn it clockwise the cap clicks and doesn't seem to engage on the filler tube mechanism.

Anyone got any ideas what it is, is there any adjustments I can make?
