Petrol - All The Same?

Are some petrols better than others, i.e. is it better to use Shell / BP / Esso rather than going to Morrisons for your petrol.

I know that stuff like optimax is better because of the higher octane but my question is more regarding normal unleaded at a Shell / BP / Esso garage VS. normal unleaded at a supermarket.

I know its come up before and IIRC a few members boycott using supermarket petrol unless absolutely necessary

i think its got some weird sort of additive in or its a different grade in a supermarket compared to a random gargage hence why supermarket fuel is sometimes found to be a bit cheaper ( well where i live anyway)

Personally i have no problems with either filling up at a garage or a supermarket
