hallo! please help! i have owned my cinq for around 2 months now, have sorted brakes/suspension, tyres coming soon...engine wise
exhaust and 57i kit is about it so far, however i was wondering if anyone out there does a better cam for the car, as it is fairly top-endy anyway for power, and i know from experience with minis the difference a good cam makes, so far i have had no luck finding on but any help would be appreciated. also does anyone know of a supplier for a rear cage, as i autotest and it gets a bit rolly sometimes!!!

thanks in advance!

great thanks! will get cage soon hopefully, as for the engine, i need to keep below 1199cc for my class in autotesting, shame realyl cos i have been on your site and seen how easy the swap is to do!!! aah well...maybe just lose weight rather than gain power then...ta!

can you mod the throttle body?
stick on a 1242 TB for a bit more go. along with a cam (I got kent to make a cam for a Grp A skoda I had) and some porting (got a spare head 4 sale btw :D)
How on earth do you manage to hand brake turn your cinq on tarmac?

If you are competing, and depending on how you are for cash, I would recommend a having a look at at GSR Engineering's website. I have recently purchased an induction kit from them which I am very impressed with (see seperate post in this section of the forum). Peter at GSR is very helpful and knowledgable and it appears that they have really done there homework andknow a good deal about performance mods for Fiats. Check out the race project "Pandamonium" they are involved with. You do have to be patient tho. It took me weeks to get my kit but I suppose that's what happens with a samll indie outfit.

Anyway, if you are limited to sticking with the 1108 lump they have various possibilities. I am currently saving for bench flowed head, and cam and valve train mod. It may take a while :D

Slow in... fast out!

hehe, skoda cams :) i work for skoda...but i guess we all have our cross to bear! 1242 throttle body seems like a good idea, and head work was in the pipeline anyways as my head gasket is bound not to last much longer! as for the handbrake turns, you need a seat that holds you in, low profile tyres (standard ones are scary) a light rear end and guts! oh and a hydraulic handbrake helps too! best mod ever :)
