pc to tv

Hi guys,

PC in one corner of the room, tv in the other. How can i connect the pc to the tv? I have a Radeon 9800 pro card and a HDTV. What cables do i need?
Want to watch torrents on the big tv

torrents are pc files,you cant watch them

what outs does your pc card have and what inputs your tv?
or just get a chipped xbox and stream over

just a standard VGA lead (thats long enough) providing u have a normal pc socket on back of tv.

It may be reffered to as a D-sub i think. have a look fr this connector on the back of TV.

i bought a splitter so i can have it on pc and tv at same time and i dnt have to **** about swapping wires over

or get Divx dvd player and burn downloaded tv programmes to disc and watch them on tv. thats wat i do and the quality is great.

why burn to dic when you can stream over a network? much less hassle

explain streaming over a network plz and ill decide. i just use dvd RW and it burns like 10 episodes in about 5-10 mins.

i thought that wa easy enough.

Do you have a S-vedia connection and a very long lead would do the job very easily

right, had a look at the back of the tv, i have: Video in, Audio in, Audio line out, YPbPr audio in, 2x Scart, CI slot Spdif out and HDMI input.

I m guessing Video in and Audio in.
Anyone know what the cable i need is called?

or get a pre-made HDMI to DVI cable.

I only got the convertor as the laptop used for playing DVDs will be replaced with a blue ray/HD DVD player once one format is adopted and they become cheaper.
