Feel free to take Tommy's leather (cos i don't like it) :p

The car looks better in real life than the pictures can do it justice

Thats great news Andy. I was hoping the new car would be something special, and you always wanted another HGT. Fantastic that you made it happen.

So I'm guessing you will be at Brooklands in that then?

Looking forward to seeing some new rides!

Dan

Wehey! Nice to see you're back in a nice Heraldic blue HGT, get some polys and she's pretty much done!

Sad that i couldn't come see it the other day but these things happen for a reason i'm sure...
Got the catch through in the afternoon in the end, cheers bud!

Just as an update bodge now needs a new cv joint...going nowhere fast atm :(

cheers for the comments guys :)

Rob, i know the image tags arent needed, but photobucket does it automatically and i couldnt be ass'd removing them lol

yep, Patch will be missed, she was good fun, but the HGT is soo much better on many levels so im happy

Rascal - shes low enough mate -55mm drop will do me, especially as i live down an unmade road and work in an industrial port, where the roads are worse than my rut and pot hole filled unmade road!

Paul - should see you soonish mate, want to get it done as soon as time allows, just trying to work some things out with work etc

Insy - number plate will be changed mate, its not to my liking at all, so will get something sorted in sue course. re anything of Patch, the only things i have left are the wing mirrors, so ill pilfer the gloss base plates, the wind deflectors, and ill probably be getting a Ragazzon centre section, so ill use the back box too... oh and the stereo equipment aswell

Dan - yep, will be taking this beasty to Brroklands.. hope to get a couple of hill runs in too

Jay, no worries mate, didnt realise it was that far from looking at a map etc lol! glad the catch came through tho mate, shame about the cv mind! all at once eh fella

theres now plans to roll or crash this one, thinking keep as she is for a couple of years then see where i go from there. may put her as my 'show car' and go for a daft install (have almost everything already soo...) and get the alfa sorted as my daily again, but will see how things are going in a couple of months time

Very nice Andy, that noise can be persuasive :)
Is it Lee's old motor?

Cheers Wim, persuasive is an understatement... jungle juice will be in short supply in the SE soon :S lol

yep, tis Lee's old motor and credit given where credit due, shes in pretty damn good nick fro her age both physically and mechanically!

Where do you get that mesh from. i need some for my abarth bumper.

cal

Look after her Andy, if i here its been rolled i'll pop down and beat ya face in lol!.

As to a few comments i read...

The wheels were bought from motech in MK and 1 of the first sets so you'll find andy that they quite wide compared to what you get in helfrauds these days. You'll probs get a 225 tyre on them to give them some girth lol.

Numberplate.. some of you will remember that i smoothed the abarth bumper myself and ran it without the plate. I only fitted for emma's sake so she would'nt get trouble with the police lol.

Andy, bravo's look best classy mate so keep it that way and not fit the usual plastic crap lol.

Oh, another thing.
I could be making a return lol

looks good..like the handles..go well with the colour!!how come no foglights??

Cause ya get done for having ya fogs on so why have them.
Looks harder and cleaner anyway.

Hi Andy

Glad you got another Bravo and especially glad you got a heraldic blue one and I've always related to you having one as when I joined the forum I had the same, albeit a 1.4, but it's all good!

Good to see you back in the frame and hope to see you again, if I keep my Bravo, at a future meet.

Chris

PS: I won't be taking a crate of bow with me next time cos you'll drink it ya c-word ;) lol

**** it is lowerd then!

i just realised how high the bravo rear bumper actually is and the side skirts!!

you changin the rear bumper or leave it how it is??

whats your plans for it?

rascalsig.jpg

Lee, if i roll it, ill come up to you so you can smash my face in, least i could do :S lol

nah, no plans to shunt or do anything stupid, just enjoy her :) (oh and sort the damn sidelights!!!!)

hope you do get back in the fold, be good to see ya again mate :)

bravo's do look best classy, agreed, hence why externally she will remain pretty much exactly as she is, bar a couple of very small tweeks (wind deflectors, resprayed base plates and de badged (badges arent quite to my taste, plus it will be even more inconspiiouc...;))

had alreayd noticed shes running 225's, she does handle nice (altho i havent pushed her mush, and wont be for a fair while yet, have a pistinheads hoon next weekend, so i guess she will have her legs stretched a little, but not too much)

front plates going to be swapped for a standard rectangle hobbie, and an alloy swap will be on the cards in the future, unfortunately, imo, wolfrace alloys have become very chav the last few years :( probs be a set of light weight multispokes, or something from compmotive or speedline... yum :)

Paul, no plans other than keep in good nick, may hunt out a few more horses in a while, but the alfa will probably become the daily / familly 'shudder' transport so that needs some money spending on her first... thing first big thing will be the sounds though, see how the rest o you boozers keep up db wise ;)

Nick, cheers fella, and thanks for the nice comments, bar the 'bow, tight fisted get! lol hopefully see you at some shows matey :)

Andy_sx

oops, meant Chris, not Nick, sorry dude :S

Andy_sx (gone to play with the HGT, needs a bit of boom and TLC...)

Mods sound good to me mate.

Yes, wolfrace wheels have gone downhill since they readily available from halfords. I nearly swapped them myself after only having them approx 6 months just to be rid of the chav related look. Also considered painting them black.

Yeah, i keep looking around for another HGT, probs after a 155 model this time in a dark colour. This time it be all about the engine lol, lightened balanced port and polished. Set of coilovers and some wide 16in rims with stretched tyres.
Might just remap my ibiza tdi to 175 tho.

Anyway, here's a link of my current caddy project if ya into them.
http://www.vwcaddy.com/showthread.php?t=18509

Will probs come say hello when the auto italia show is at stanford hall again. only accross the A14 for me now.

That mean my Brava is chavvy? :p

Actually, I don't care if it is :)

Looking forward to seeing the HGT in the flash soon Andy.

Brava: Mar '99 1.9TD / 48,500 miles
Coupe: Feb '97 20V N/A / 129,000 miles

ha ha ha andy i thought you were gona hava a 20v marea weekend :) im correct in thinking that you have a little baby approx 10 months old?

most people get a five door when they have kid/s not a moded 20v bravo,

Ratty3.jpg

Marea, why settle for less

Insy, we all know you dont do chavvy mate, no way jose!!!

just the matrix's (i think thats what model they are...) and a few others are very chavvy after being fitted to every other corsa / saxo / nova etc :(

Lee, liking the indea of chasing some oomph, would like to do that myself, but will see what happens, insurance is still a bit steep atm anyways... so one step at a time. fitted the wind deflectors, painted base plates, and also my sub and amp (what a pig running the power lead was..)

do you have a faded red caddy aswell, as i saw one near Em's when i picked the HGT up and thought it may have been you...?

Stephen, marea had passed my mind, but when i spoke with Em re the HGT and the price we agreed, i couldnt really turn her down... and yep, lil'un is 1 on valentines day lol... missus wont let him in the car though as its too loud etc etc etc... blah blah blah!

so the alfa will be undergoing a resto project to get her running good again, then that will be my daily and the bravo will be the show car.

overall plans for the bravo are to tidy the bodywork right up, bucket seats up front, no rear seats, big install, new wheels (really fancy a set of OZ superturismo's in anthracite or gunmetal, bigger front breaks (brembo's probably) then tweek the engine further to haul the big ass install!

but that will take time! cos money doesnt grow on tree's :(

Andy_sx

That be my mate in the faded poo caddy lol. I live 28 odd mile further south from there now cause as you may remember i parted with the hgt to finance house and buy a diesel daily. Sorry to jtd owners, but once you owned an hgt, you dont down grade lol.

Andy, dont do the install mate, will greatly reduce the performance.
