Patch is alive and kicking :)

well the weekend is now over and i (and Ash) have rebuilt Patch, the new box and clutch are sweet, and the top end rebuild has made her a hell of alot smoother, dead hg (partially, was a small leak from the front corner of No 1 cyl to the front of the block, not into the oil ways really, just a smidge...) made her run a bit rough. gave her a full service aswell and i must say im rather happy

got her towed to work this morning as she has no MOT or tax atm, so im driving her around the docks (private land so i can drive around) i must say im well happy very very nice to drive her again after 2 months, but thats what it took to find a good box (as in the best i possibly could without spoending silly money) and getting the time at weekends to do the necessary work. her MOT's booked for Wednesday so by then i will make sure she sparkles and all fluids and everything is exactly as it should be and then just pray to the gods that all is ok

just hope all is good with the mot on wed then all should be good im usuing her to go around the port atm, good shake down miles to see if everything is kosher and so far soooooo damn good plus id forgotten just how damn comfy she is and how much more composed she feels. and thats behaving myself, im not having any real 'fun' yet. looking forward to when i can open her up a bit more after theres some more miles under her belt

Hey Andy glad to hear that you got Patch up and running again, i`ve just got my baby back on the road after spending all weekend on the drive, with no radiator, only mangaed to get it sorted this mornin, damned frustratin, i know yours has been off the road longer so i acn only imagine really, good luck with the MOT mate and with a bit of luck she`ll make to brooklands, just a shame i can`t make it tho

aye im hoping she will go through her MOT fine aswell, driving her around the docks today makes me feel a hell of alot more confident i must admit. i forgot just how damn nice she is, especially when i compare it to the damn escort!

was sad to leeave her at work tonight but it just isnt worth the risk taking her home, be it from the law (parents) or the police... id be dead and Patchless... just got to hang on a bit more..!

well in about 27hours time i will know where i stand i guess... yes that is very sad... but you have no idea how much i waant her back!

Chap, did you fit the 6spd box from the mk2 sporting in the end? I know you said its a punto box but I'm wondering if you did take the plunge in the end

nope, afraid not mate, couldnt find a decent box with everything i needed to get the job done, so ive put that plan on hold until i can locate a good one etc

just a standard mk1 5 speeder afair again, but 6 spd is on the cards later in the year
