I hope someone on here can help me please! I have just purchased a coachbuilt motorhome on a ducato base, it currently has a single passenger seat but I need to put a double in. I have a 1999 build. Could any one tell me which seats from what years will physically it please? It doesn't matter if they dont match looks wise, I just need to to attach and fit correctly. I await your answers very eagarly!!
Many thanks (new member) Jo

Well they are from the right year, however they look to only have lapbelts (?) and I would really want 3 point belts, especially as a child seat will need to be fitted in one. Ideally I'd love to know if the stud pattern on the newer seats is the same as mine!

Thank you!

95-06 will bolt onto the same bolts 02-06 ones are nicer sturdier, they have an airbag pretensioner you'd need to secure that wiring. The connectors generally short out when disconnected to prevent it going off. The fixed seat has a non adjustable back obviously so measure how far back it goes and make sure it doesn't foul any furniture etc.

That's the most constructive info I have found so far, thank you!

Now - sorry for being a girl - but when you say about securing the wiring for the airbag pretensioner.... what exactly does that mean please? Does it need re connecting or not?

Thank you! :D

The 99 one probably doesn't have wiring for a recoil on the middle seat belt. If you get a later seat you'll have a wire with yellow connector hanging off the recoil at the base of the seat. You'd want to tape it up out of way so the wire doesn't get severed or damaged.

i have been informed that the floor was chamged in the 02-06 models so seats from those wouldn't fit in my 99, will they or not, I'm getting very confused! Thanks!

Ive had both a 95 single passenger and 02-06 double passenger in my 2005 van. It was a direct swap.

Thanks corcai. I've found one in a scrap yard from an 03 plate and has measured the bolt holes which match my measurements so its road trip day tomorrow to pick it up!
