forgot to mention, the car wasn't exactly there when it was ticketed, it was about 3ft to the left completly on the grass.
as for obstructing a junction, there are approx 12-15cars within 32ft of the junction, and the single yellow lines only go 1m into the junction entrance. If you weren't mean't to park so close to the junction opening (like it says in th highway code) then th yellow lines would extend further up the street.
and funny you should mention police, a police car/van/riot van/panda car goes past this junction approx every 40mins, the car was there 2hours, and the other cars are there all day everyday. so they obviously don't give half a monkeys*
*yet, 1st december NCP has lost their contract and being replaced my council funded wardens and standard police wardens
so they may say something then, but for now, not bothered.
