:)Hi kids.:) Look, despite the fact that I don't have a Panda yet, I've got half an eye on a Panda Tent that is for sale. Bloody fool. But I am a camping freak, you see.

Anyway, those of you that own these things, can you tell me if they are big enough to sleep in. I'm a six footer and have a tendency to pull rather dubious and excitable women when I'm on holiday and wondered whether you can actually use these tents for camping, or are they just a gimic really?

Are they fit for, you know, well, thingy, snort, titter, er, romping and so forth, if you like.:D:p(y)

I do own a rather splendid Conway trailer tent and I know a Panda can pull it, albeit slightly (!!!) illegally, given all due consideration to the weight issue. Indeed after it's initial purchase the my ex's Colour towed said tent the 10 miles from Dover to Deal, even tugging it enthusiastically up Jubilee way, that huge flyover affair that shepherds you out of Dover onto the A2, over the docks, and then onto Deal.

However, I wouldn't want to travel too far with half a ton of canvas and aluminium hanging off me bum because I'm fairly keen on my driving licence and almost as keen on continuing to live past 42, so hence my interest in the Panda tent.

So, is it useable as a tent, basically?

Please reply much later as I've just had four cans of Murphys and I need a wee desperately and I'm also now struggling to focus. Honestly, it's like having four bowls of alcaholic soup. Trapped wind, an urge for chocolate:yum: and a spinning head.

Romance isn't dead in my house then.......

Cheers all.(y)

I expect it will shoot up in price so be willing to pay a premium, there are lots of old threads on the tent so when you've sobered up have a search before the auction ends.

BTW you mentioned romance in your house, pulling women when away camping, so asume you are on your own so who are you romancing whilst off to the loo? :yuck: :D

Ahh, I see what you mean. Didn't quite make sense there, did it....:p

Isn't the panda the bedroom and the tent for all the crap that was in the car ?
If thats the case you could practice the rumpy pumpy in the car on your drive before bidding on the tent ,if unsuccessful , at least you might amuse the neighbours :D

It's an idea you know.... But I haven't even got a drive or a front garden. My terraced front door opens straight on to a 6ft wide gravel track servicing all twelve houses. Might make interesting spectating for the neighbours....

Missed the bloody thing cos got problems with ebay. It won't let me in to search and bid on some things. Was willing to go to £150 for it.

Pretty annoyed and on to ebay now. Put up a post which has been moved but got some advice before it was. Still same problems though.

(y)Sorted out the Ebay problem on my own in the end. Was trapped in the old Ebay site and just changed my Ebay link to http://shop.ebay.co.uk/ and can log in and search, through that link with no problems. Bizarre.

But I still missed the bloody tent. Lol.:p
