General Panda-Sport end of year report

cheers, I'll have a gander around for some.... i was thinking Uno Turbo ones (theres a clue as to what i am gonna do haha) but i think they will be too big..

so when do we get to know whats lurking under that blanket.. clearly engine in there or there wouldn't be the divide panel thingy behind front seats...I'm guessing its possibly an engine found in a 155 just because the clocks but thats quite a few possibilities still.

Hydro handbrake is nice but will it MOT?
No heater?
No brake servo but I wonder what the rear axle brakes are like.. (front sized discs could be okay if the weight distribution suggests it.(911s run similar discs front and rear.))
Nice horn but no intercooler or piping visible so I'm sticking with an n/a lump.
But the window winder in front of the gear lever.. that's got me stumped - combine it with the brake lines disappearing into the bulkhead and mounting bolts visible for something - I'll go for an adjustable brake bias valve control.
Red line at 6500 - six not four cylinders...

Possibly..?

Thats for the front brakes only to help warm up the rear tyres:devil:

Hmm, that just fell off the door as I'm missing the spring clip. You didn't spot the extra pedal?

and as it's new year have a photo

Dribble, dribble! And a Happy New Year to you too.

That's a fantastic sight and very impressive ride heights front and rear after all those mods.

Transmission photos, gear linkages (cables?) and drive shafts, next please.

I didn't spot the extra pedal (I thought it was some trim hanging down) and still don't know what it does.. - I'd like to though.

Congratulations panda-sport. You are a legend in my book.

The gear linkage is the 155 gearstick with 16ft cables that run round most of the car. They are marine cables. The driveshafts are standard X1/9 1500 short shafts.

It's a hydraulic 'hand' brake operating on the rear wheels.

The engine sits nice and low, was it much work to get that. Has it got a dry sump?
The sump sits no lower than the standard fire engine in the front of a 2wd panda which is just as well as the chassis rail gets in the way of the gearbox if it needed to go higher. At its current height the driveshafts are parallel to the ground(y)

That all sounds fantastic to me.

-Next question is; What's your plan for this beast? - Or - 'When and where will I be able to see it in action please?'
The plan is a bit of RWYB drag racing, a bit of drifting and the odd track day. I'll let you know when we have definite plans(y)

Some more detail

Its not the only Panda I've been working on ;)
