Had a Bravo for 100,000 miles. Great car reliable until the gear box started groaning. Now have 3 Pandas. I have so far found all the Fiats in the family very much more reliable than all the other cars that have come and gone in between. The Bravo was 1.6d and pulled my caravan with ease, until the gear box issue. There are some threads on here about gear box bearings which I would check out.

Anyone run any combination of the above, as much as i love the panda a little more space would be nice, although id like to steer clear of derv as the doblo work van i have has to be regen'd once a week.

I had a Qubo bought shortly after it was introduced - about 10 years back. It was practical, but unexciting. Very utilitarian - obviously conceived as a van. Space for 5 adults, but not that roomy for luggage with the seats up as they are fairly near the rear of the car. So the boot space is tall, but not deep front to back, so filling it requires stacking. It wasn't uncomfortable, but no carpets, or luxurious fabrics. Unrefined, but in a honest way.

It drove OK. Massive windscreen and high position give commanding view. Nothing wrong with the controls. But you certainly wouldn't call it 'fun' by any stretch of the imagination. Ours was the 1.3 diesel 75HP - the 95HP wasn't introduce until later. 0-60 figures look awful, but it wasn't that bad in practice with diesel low down torque.
It gave 44mpg over a mixture of town/open roads. But more on a longer run. Reliable on the whole. Apart from routine servicing, 1 issue in 3 1/2 years - just out of warranty. Cost under £100.

I wouldn't buy another one, but have no real regrets. At the time finances were tight, we needed a proper 5 seater with decent headroom, and it was at a demonstrator with a discount. It served it's purpose.

Don't think of it as a bigger Panda though. It doesn't have half the charm.

Give it some Wynns diesel clean occasionally and the problem will disappear. I used to get a receipt for oil to cover the cost.

Yes, we have a trusty 120 Doblo 2009 (our third Dobbie - total mileage over 120k), and have just bought a 2014 Panda 4x4 MJ. Love them both. OK, there's a regen from time to time, but still get a true 48mpg from the Dobbie, driven hard, and the Panda is showing 54mpg so should be over 50.
Love the diesel torque!

I often see a really neat Doblo camper conversion on the Suffolk coast near me - bright red, with a pop up roof. The owner is very happy with it, and extols its virtues. Loads of space for such a small footprint.

Hi there,
I have had quite a few Pandas over the years, mainly 4x4’s. I bought a petrol Qubo, terrible car, no power and uncomfortable. Then got a 1.6D Doblo, which was a lot better vehicle, then went back to a Panda Cross, now I have a Fullback Cross[emoji106]

I've read on another forum that the new Doblo will be based on the current Berlingo and may be available at the end of this year.

It's going to be on my short list if the spec is right for me.
