Hi there forlks.

I'm looking to buy a nice little Fiat Panda 4X4 to replace the SJ413 I have at the moment. That project car was supposed to be a runabout and snow car but it's as bad on fuel as my main car :bang:

I'm looking for one in good mechanical condition, but i'm not too worried about the state of the body work. Although i'd prefer a clean one :)

I'm in the North east england area but wouldn't mind a little travel to pick one up.

Thanks in advance guys.

Darren

I noticed the one on Ebay but it's a long trek down there. I was going to check the Auto-Trader again tommorow in case one more local presents itself.

Hi,
If you enjoy 'projects', you could widen your search a little. The Seat Marbella bodies are usually in better shape than Panda's and the floorpans are the same ones as used on the Panda 4x4. Find a Seat and a scrap Panda 4x4 and swap engine/gearbox, top LHS mount and rear axle...a weekend's job !
My son-in-law did it with a Seat Terra van: Fantastic.

KUDOS !?.............you won't half surprise a few people though !

ha ha on any other day I might of spoted that, however after 14 hours at work. NO CHANCE

Thanks Dave

Found One!!!!!

Hay the folks. I managed to find a Panda 4x4 just up the road :p . Only 3 mile away in fact!!!!

It's an H reg with 130K miles on the clock.

Body needs a bit of work. Anyone got 2 doors, a boot and a bonnet lid for sale please (y)

The price was a bit of an issue though. I think I might need a bank loan for it.

£60

Anyway it wouldnt start but i've had it running by feeding fuel into the carb. No exhaust smoke at all.

Needs a fuel pump though so i'm off to get that, fit it and drive it home!

So my little SJ413 is now up for sale. Whatever I get from that is going to go into the Panda restoration fund.

Further details to follow

Darren :D

The SJ413 is a Suzuki 4x4 Jeep. Its the 1.3 soft top version. It's been kitted out for Off Road use which makes it waisted on the open road.

Got the panda back home via a tow. No tax mot or insurance didnt seem wise to drive it LOL

Fixed the Fuel lines however bad light has stopped play :(

Cant wait for my next day off on sunday to strip out the rear shockers and break cylinders for its M.O.T.

Looks like it is going to cost £100 pound for to get it through.
I can sure live with that.

I fully agree with the last posting. The Panda 4x4 is the best small off-roader and the third best over-all (1. Basic Landy, 2. Lada Niva. ). It can get out of ANYTHING, if you fit the only accessory needed; a front winch, equal to the car's weight.
ENJOY..............We do !

Hi again....just read all of your posts ! you appear to be as daft as meself !
WHAT EXACTLY HAVE YOU BOUGHT !?!
I think I have a tailgate off a Tacchini, two good doors off a CLX and (possibly) a 4x4 bonnet ( this may be sports drilled and 'modded'...I'll have to check...sorry )....offers ?

Welcome to the world of serious Pandas
