I am in the process of replacing a leaking/fractured plastic water pump housing on my twin air Panda 4x4.
I have no overeating heating issues and the current water pump seems OK - no excessive movement from the bearing or noises, works perfectly. Is it advisable to replace it anyway? Is it easy to remove from the engine block?
Also, I have cleaned the alloy mating surface as best I could (see pic) using fine brush, sandpaper etc, its clean but just discolored, will this cause issues when sealing?
The torque spec for tightening the plastic water pump housing bolts be around 9nm?
Cheers
