My tyres are due for renewal soon but would like to fit 50 profile tyres instead of the 195/45/15 but am concerned about clearance on the arches.
My car is lowered on Eibach springs and fitted with B6 Bilstein shocks .
Just wondering if anyone has had issues at all?
Purely for wider choice of tyres and also price difference between the 2 sizes

If you are looking to replace the wheels 175 tyres are a good compromise. The 155 used on most models is good for mpg but wears fast. The 195 on 100HP is bordering on too wide and even a slight ET (offset) error risks a wheel wobble problem.

175 x 15 should be a good compromise. You will need to research tyre aspect ratio to get for the correct rolling radius. You will also need to research the ET. Oponeo has tyre size calculators but discovering the ideal ET is more hidden. Check out the wheel range used on Panda 169. Ignore Fiat 500, Ford Ka and later Panda as they have different suspension.
