Styling Painting interior trim?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the color of interior trim? A friend said that I can get some 'special' paint to go over it with. Has anyone done/seen/heard of this at all?

have a look through the forum,tons of people have painted there interior trim. you can buy specific interior trim or use staadard interior trim.
should be some peeps on soon who have painted there trim

Is it anything like in this thread that you want to do? Interior customisation

If so, the paint I used for this is normal acrlyic based spray paints after priming with unversal primer.

There used to be this stuff called 'Vinylkote', that was actually a dye rather than paint. It was supposed to change the colour pigmentation of the surface it was sprayed on so wouldn't crack or chip.

I think it only worked on vinyl or leather, not on hard plastic, but I'm not sure.

Haven't seen it around for a while so maybe they discontinued it?
