hey i recently bought some new alloys for ma punto mk2 and realised how nasty those brake calipers look...have found some paint in halfords gonna have a bash but jus wondering any precautions i should take or any particular parts maybe, that i cant paint :S ?

before you start wire brush them down, and then use some brake cleaner (aerosol can form halfrauds) and let it dry.
mask of the bleed nipple. brake hose. you dont want them coloured.
take you time when painting.

iirc it was 30mins between coats. 3hrs before the wheel can be put back on. (with the paint that i used anyways)
