Stilo 1.6 2001 here.
Had the engine fault sign on the dashboard yesterday - The car went into Safe mode. Turned it off and on, revs OK, I managed to get back home (this happened a couple of times on my way back).
I checked the car with FES and it showed P1220 and P0571 errors.
While in the car I checked if the brake lights function well but they did not turn on when a pressed the brake (just flash randomly).
Anyway, I erased the fault codes (the engine light was off already) and did a throttle relearn (I had the throttle cleaned last Saturday)
Today, just when I arrived at my job the engine light showed up again (haven't checked the fault code yet)
Doing a research in the forum about the P1220 error code there was somewhere mentioned that the throttle error might have something to do with the brakes (light switch-pedal).
Can these 2 errors be connected to each other?
Other symptoms I had lately is a low idle sometimes (after cleaning the butterfly), some random temp gauge pick ups (from normal to max and back in 1 sec - a couple of times), and a P0105 MAP error last week which was also erased after cleaning the sensor.
Thanx very much in advance.
