Basically i've wired my new Amp up and currently have just spliced into the wire and connected the new p.continous for the new Amp with the old one and just taped them together...

So what's the best connector to use???

Tried a Scotch Block and didn't work :(

Cheers

Is that a constant 12v DC feed?
The big mofo' one?

Id say get a distribution block and take it from there...
Or straight to the battery...only takes 20mins to run that wire in the Cinq!!

by splitting the remote signal, do you get a high pitched whistle when the amps are on?

doesnt happen with engine off, but with engine on it happens, only through the amped speakers, oh and it varies with engine speed, not sure if its to do with the blowing exhaust or if its just well happening cause of the split remote signal (1 going into 2 for my 2 amps)

i have split my remote lead and covered it up with gaffa tape

as you can tell my wiring knowledge aint very good, most of my wires are connected with gaffa tape, but i dont have no trouble with them

That's what i've done but the connection/bodge is on the passenger side and can almost gurantee that some idiot will snag it and pull them apart so I wanna tidy it up a bit.

I v.Happy with my car now...... There's a lot of Bass for a small car so gonna fit a switch to turn sub on/off.

i have a volume switch for my sub, i would recommend one of them, only about £20 too

my bodge connection is in the boot, so less chance of damage by passengers

I don't learn though really as last time I fitted a new amp i didn't secure it and had to get two new rca leads....Guess what's happened

Volume Switch  can you post a pic???

I'll know what it is if i see it instead of a name!

Gaz, do you get a high pitched whistle? lol :p

only if its a good song :p

or the whistle song comes on :D

the only interference i get is when i use my indicators, but i havent heard that for a while now, just make sure power cables are kept seperate speaker cables and buy some quality wiring. Why spends hundreds on quality ICE then use bell wire to connect it up

i aint got a pic of the volume switch but it goes into RCA lead then into h/u, its basically the gain on your amp, you set up the amp as normal then put the switch it, it saves going into the back every time to **** around with it

They way i've set mine up i can control the bass on the headunit as it's connected to rear pre-outs and my 7x10's on front pre-out so can play with them that way.....

i dont really know how i set mine up, i just know it sounds perfect :p, apart from the side skirt rattle :D

i think one pre-out controls all the front speakers and another controls the sub, i can turn sub up or down whenever i like, i can even turn it off it im fed up of it
