Hey guys, I'm new here so i apologise if I'm asking something dumb or if it has been clearly posted somewhere else on the forum.

The reason I write is because I need to replace some parts on my Ducato but I can't seem to find any parts that are made specifically for the Ducato, I own a 2014 Diesel Fiat Ducato and I need to change parts like the bearings, the fuel pump and filter, the lower control arm on the left side and some gaskets for the fuel pump.

So i've been trying to find information regarding this parts, mainly if there are other parts that are sold for other car manufacturers that would fit the Ducato, it seems hard to believe that all this parts would be proprietary for each car so Im sort of assuming that you could technically use parts that are manufactured for other cars but im by no means an expert on this subject so I was wondering if any of you know about this or have run into the same problem, if not, do you know of a reliable website where I could order the parts preferably in the US so that I could then ship them with my courrier to my country.

Thank you very much and I wish you all well!!

Ducato was a joint venture with PSA (Peugeot/Citroen). There were identical vans badged Peugeot and Citroen and most of the mechanical and body parts will be interchangeable.

It is unlikely that Fiat would have specified different suspension arms from the other two, but it may be worthwhile spending a little time on parts websites comparing part numbers across the three models. If a supplier uses the same part number for all models, then it is reasonable to expect that a part for any of these will fit yours.

I don't know whether any of those vans were sold in the US, but at least you have more scope to locate what you need.

Edit: Just checked front suspension arm for Ducato, Citroen Relay and Peugeot Boxer on a UK parts website. They are listing the same part for all three.

From the 2014 year model, the Ducato has been sold in the US as the Ram Promaster. The Ram Promaster is manufactured at Saltillo, Mexico.(Source Wikipedia)

To suit the US market the engines will be different from those sold in Europe.

You have not stated whether you wish to replace the fuel lift pump in the fuel tank, or a high pressure diesel injection pump.

This is amazingly helpful thank you very much, so just to make sure i understand if the parts have the same part numbers they would be interchangeable right? I have found some parts listed on ebay that are specified to fit the Ducato but there is a dealership for Peugeot here in my country so I will be contacting them, for the bearings is it ok to asume that i cold source them directly from SKF or other part manufacturer with the internal and external measurements of the part?

You do not say what bearings you are wishing to replace, but generally bearings are standard parts and have codes stamped on them. Match the codes and the bearings will be the same. However, bearings can come in three grades, with differences in their internal clearances. Sadly I cannot find a site that explains this right now. Bearings that get hotter, start with larger clearances. So be careful to match correctly.

OK, so it would probably be wise to take off the bearings and bring them with me to the store to see if they have the piece? I have the measurements of the replacement part according to a Ducato catalog and it does list measurements but I imagine you're talking about the clearances of the actual bearings inside>

Yes, the clearances inside the bearings, between the balls or rollers and their tracks. The differences will be tiny, but significant when in use due to normal running temperature.

Take them out, wipe them clean, take them to the bearing store for matching. If there are separate seals, remove them carefully too, as many bearing specialists can supply standard seals too. If we're talking wheel/hub bearings, they'll probably be sealed, so no separate seals.
