OT PC help

I have hooked a laptop (with no screen) up to my tv. It was working fine till I put it in a high res and cant see anything now.

If I go into safe mode or vga mode works ok, how do I get the normal windows mode back so I can see it?

Win xp sp2.

If you changed the resoloution using Start>Control Pannel>Display>Settings why cant you just change it back to a lower res whilst in safe mode?

When changing your res. its better to click on apply rather than ok.

If it ****s up and you choose applly, it gives you 15secs to choose to keep the new res, i.e. if it goes wrong and you dont choose to keep it it will revert to the last res.

Go into safemode.

Uninstall Video Card Drivers.

Load XP back up.

reinstall drivers for video card.

And that will do what Smee?

That'll only reset the BIOS. It won't reset any settings within Windows as they're user configuration.

no it dont it reset all drivers back to default aswell. my pc at home does it. u cant see a thing assoon as it starts ur buggered. it is the only way i can reset the drivers so i can see anything.

going in to safe mode on mine doesnt fix the problem for some reason.

I just deleted drivers then it came back on ok.

Prob not is wireless not working. It was then now there is no power light on the wirless card doh!

Just trying driver update.

Just cant think. Didn't even notice that the driver for the wirless card was wrong.
