Opinion on Second Car?

Had my trusty MK2 for nearly a year now and will be looking for a second car in a couple of months, really don't know what to go for...

Probably looking to spend £4000

I will be 18 and have 1 year no claims...

Spend £2500-£3000 on a FI mx5 mk 1 and you'll have a very fun car on your hands running between 160-230 bhp just watch for sill rust

My other car is a Renault Twingo GT, very fun car to drive! 1.2 with a low pressure turbo and so far nothing wrong with it.

Quick, Cheap tax, cheap on fuel even if you floor it everywhere and I imagine the insurance wont be too bad.

I had one of these, not as quick as I would have liked/thought it would be. Mine was very unreliable but that's not to say they all are.
