The fence he jumped belonged to someone else and now he's in prison. I bought it from Bumble Auctions, CSI cleaned it and sold it on for a healthy mark up. ;)

Despite the rain the interior is now dry enough to re-install. Best of all the seats and carpets are still flora free. :slayer:

I have a couple of jobs to do first and then get on with giving my dad his greenhouse back.

So phase one will soon be complete. I need to tidy up the paintwork, fit some decent tyres/wheels and she'll be ready to try and sell again.

The phase one sale price is the same as advertised so if you want a cheap MkII five door that doesn't smell of "Wet Dog" follow the link to the listing in the first post of this thread.

As the costs go up so will the price (obviously).

Why don't you keep it and make it into something different..
These mk2's ain't to bad. Parts are cheap or even free...sometimes

So all in all ...they is good to have as car for pottering around town in..

You probably knew as soon as I took the Kirkey out of the Wet Dog I'd try it in my Mazda.

The roll hoop is in the way as usual and the base is a little wide. That's the advantage of Aluminium though. I can always cut it in half and weld it back together again. ;)

Wet Dog is no more. Neutral with a hint of wild Cherry and Nutmeg is the order of the day.

One irritation is the intermittent power steering issue now appears to be a permanent one. With the motor acting as a resistor against the column I may just take the motor off and drive o'natural.

I'm using my spare Panda battery at the moment. The Punto battery went flat after the car was parked (by my sister) with the "City" button on. :bang:

Why should that make any difference? I parked my car today for over 4 hours with the city button on....

turn the ignition off and the city button is irrelevant, in fact without the engine running the electric power steering is turned off

It's probably just knackered. The Panda battery is bigger then the one that came with the car (if that's the correct one is another issue all together). Trickle charging for two days so I'll put it back in a bit.

Today I have a wooden shed to deal with instead of a Fiat one. ;)

The car started first turn of the key and the power steering works even though the battery has been on for twenty hours. :)

I reversed to move the car to the sale spot and when I braked the seat went all the way back on the runners! :bang:

So no the interior smells of WD40 and the seat runner now locks again.
