Unlike the eBay seller I bought the car from...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251505166605?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

...I've tried to sell this car honestly and the description "Wet Dog smell" isn't a very good marketing point.

If I had known there was half a rain forest of magic trees in there I would never have bid on the bloody thing let alone driven it home. :bang:

My attempts to remove the "Wet Dog" smell were temporary at best.

So I need to get to the route cause.

Stripping a car out...

...and not putting a roll cage in is a new one for me.

Some interesting stains like ground in chocolate mixed with mud...

...and dried in vomit mixed with builders sand in the carpet.

Pressure wash and used the foamer to cover the seats with carpet shampoo and Flash Febreeze 50/50 mix.

While that was soaking in I did the same to the interior carpet.

Mum and Dad thought they were being clever getting a greenhouse that was too small for me to use as a spray booth...

...turns out it's perfect for drying out an interior. ;)

So I can move the car about without getting a wet arse I've fitted my Kirkey. I wish it had floor mounted seatbelts as it would be hilarious to drive to work like this tonight. :D

I found a silver cuff-link, a couple of grams of Cannabis resin, two broken cigars, child's hair clips, a couple of crayons, moldy dog food (under the carpet) and 81p in change. Such a varied life this car has had. ;)

Well on it's way to becoming a silk purse instead of a sows ear. Well less of a shed at least. :)

Good work mate, :)

ive had a few cars inthe past that stunk..how they let them get into this state
is beyondme.

it shouid clean up well that punto. some of that red colour magic polish stuff might bring
some colour back to the paint . :)

dog smells always come back just like cigar ones
last really bad dog car i had i decided to replace whole interior and it was really hard not to be sick
i got offered a punto last week at a price i couldn't refuse but i did because 2 large dogs had been its guests
my stomach really wouldn't have been able to cope

my pet hates are white dog hairs
and womens toenail residues

yuk yuk yuk

Winning bid:
£255.00

thats cheap, so only thing wrong with it is dog smell in the car? just use car freshener lololo

Wish bone wobble both sides, knackered tyres, fire damaged paintwork, knackered drivers seat (fat bloke), cloudy headlights, stone chip in the "A" zone.

I broke my vax cleaning my kiddie ball pit Cinquecento. They're crap anyway. All they do is drive the smelly stuff deeper into the pile.

Tomorrow I'm going to set off an antibacterial smoke grenade in the chuffer. ;)

when i first saw the topic title "wet dog" i chuckled a bit, but then a light bulb appeared over my head, and a new brilliant idea was born

put a dead cat in to the car for atleast a week (preferably in the back seat- for max effect), dog smell will miraculously disappear

tested and working 100%

Th wet dog smell has gone from inside the car and the greenhouse doesn't smell at all. Sadly I appear to have unearthed a pool of urine in the passenger side sound deadening. Grrrrr!

More Flash with Febreeze I think. ;)
