Excellent! I wonder if google do organise that or someone else just arranges it that way?

Also FAO Paul, whilst I'm not a big George Bush fan, I would like to point out that Bush never said "The future will be better tomorrow". He has said some stupid things, but he is not stupid, everyone makes mistakes. As this site explains, the quote was recorded by another American polititian, Dan Quayle, years ago and has been falsely attributed to John Kerry (who is no way better than Bush) as well recently.

Meanwhile he did say "More and more of our imports come from overseas". He meant as opposed to imports from Canada, Alaska, etc.

:O Seriously?

I bought a Bushisms posrter and that's just below the headline of "I think war is a dangerous place"! Have I been ripped off?!

How can you argue anybody is as bad as Bush? I think the world has its fingers crossed that in a couple of weeks time, justice will prevail and that twit will be another joe public :)

Like it Kirsty - It was hillarious as Comical Ali said 'the Americans are not in Baghdad' as a US tank rolled past!

A quick check of the BBC site shows that Bush did say "I think war is a dangerous place", which is slightly wrong and sounds bad, but it was an on the spot answer to a question. He was talking about the risk to Western journalists in Baghdad - i.e for them the war is a dangerous place. It was also part of a longer sentance.

John Kerry is no better than George Bush (if it were up to me I'd probably vote for him though), I know this because the Americans themselves (In the best place to judge) don't prefer him to win, he only has 50% of the vote and chances are Bush will win again. Kerry has no serious policies but instead concentrates on trying to ridicule Bush. He has a debateable past which he refuses to talk about, and indications are that he wouldn't have done anything different to Bush if he had been president (he supported the war as the tories did Blair.)

American politics is amusing, apparantly if Clinton stood for election again he would get 65% of the total vote! I also heard that the last election was so close that Dubya wouldn't have got in were it not for the few thousand people so stupid they thought they were voting for daddy.

No way can I agree with the following:

I know this because the Americans themselves (In the best place to judge)

Sadly we are overestimating the average American.....

Kerry has no serious policies but instead concentrates on trying to ridicule Bush

If you had listened to any of the late night debates (I only managed one, 2am onwards is difficult!) you would completely disagree with this, it was Bush who was personally attacking like most of the normal US politicians and Kerry talking around the subjects, not just saying "Kerry is a scardy cat, I am strong and resolute"

He has a debateable past which he refuses to talk about

TBH I didn't know anything "bad" about Kerry's past, he is a war hero, Bush on the other hand seems to have missed 'nam - strong and resolute? More like coward "unless it's not me having to fight"!

American politics is amusing,

Best thing you said :p

NB: How come Bush uses the word resolute 100 times a day? I don't get it, it's not a word we generally use but he repeats that he and America are resolute, grrr!

1.We are not in as good a position to judge on this as the American people - fact!
2.Kerry's supporters say he is a war hero, Bush's supporters say he was a traitor - fact! Believe who you want, I don't know enough about it to judge.
I did watch one debate and highlights of the other, I disagree with you. I prefer Kerry as I said, but I don't believe that just because you feel Bush is a prat that automatically makes Kerry any better!

1. You and I are in a better position to judge than most Americans, fact!
2. Maybe I will look into it, whatever happens, Bush was a traitor and it's proven, at least Kerry could be a hero.

Kerry must be the least of two evils, if not, ********! lol

So you're saying the average rural Texan "redneck" is in a better position than educated people like you or myself, who can research and read and most importantly, understand!? I don't think so....*in my opinion of course*

Erm the average redneck is not "most americans".

Plus this is not the dark ages, most people know what is going on regarding their own president.

Plus I think the yanks also have educated people amoungst their ranks - somewhere...

That's the trouble, that is the average American from what I see/hear!

There are seriously well educated Americans, they don't get into the position they are in without such people, sadly however, such a large country means such a large education gap, spurred on by $30k/year Uni fees etc.

This is about as democratic as the Iraqi elections will be, both sides have minibuses to pick up voters! How easily that can lead to picking up the more venerable in society to be "forced" to voting in one direction.

Bush has had the equivilent education of Eaton then Cambridge yet is one of the most stupid presidents interlectually (and verbally!) in modern times...

Like I said before there will be a tiny minority of people in the USA as there is here that don't know what's going on and no more than that.

What country do you live in?! They do that here!

I have to get up so I'll let everyone else decide on what they think based on this.

But surely being taken by a "republican" minivan for 4 miles with a persuasive talker in your ear is going to affect the voter, especially if they are the "target" - ederly and dumb.

I disagree with the candidates hounding people outside the polling stations too, I am glad I am registered for postal votes!
