On the phone whilst driving

On the phone whilst driving

Yeah thats true. I've been chased many a time for doing something minor, such as being on the road infront of a BMW. Too many nutters about..

Can only be as careful as one can be when on the roads today

My submission involves pedestrians...

You are taught to look both ways prior to crossing a road yes? Then why do the dozy twits never do it!!

Its not as if the 899cc being given death uphill in 2nd gear (with no tailpipe) is that discreet - but its not that indiscreet either.

..It was more the way that I knew they werent gonna look, so I slowed to a crawl and added a bit of throttle and horn... Fools. People that arrogant are those that deserve to die on the roads. May seem very very evil, but it REALLY rattled my cage...

What i hate is when taxi drivers seem to think they are above the law, and can do anything (including 45 in a 30 zone). I have just been out to get some cat food, and i have had a taxi try to pull out in front of me (i tooted him so he didnt do it), and another taxi over take within 25 foot of a traffic island (he also went in the zig zag lines). Yesterday i saw a taxi picking up passengers whilst partly parked over a zebra crossing.

I once asked a taxi driver to slow down - he was doing 60mph+ from what I could see, in a 30 zone with traffic calming measures! He wasn't happy but did, I felt awkward. Got me from my house to the station in 6 minutes, I usually leave 20, it was 6am or something though (would expect 15 mins at that time).

i got a good 1 taxi driver did a u turn infront of me went up both kirbs right infront of trafic lights.
so i pipped at him shouted a bit of prafanity out the window, drove up road and got pulled by a copper in a unmarked police car. and got done for pipping him. ur bloody rite they think they own the road

heres another 1 parked on some double yellows while my mate went to cash machine. taxi parked in front of me. trafic walked straight past the taxi and came to my window and tryed to give me a ticket like fu@k told her id watched that documentary on trafic wardens and the publics rites sand she walked away

a couple of years ago i was driving along the coast at 2am, and i noticed i had a copper behind me, i was doing 28mph in a 30 zone, and was in a road legal car (micra), a taxi shot past going the opposite way (about 45-50mph), but the copper stopped me instead, as i was 'out late' (is there a curfew in this country), when i said about the taxi driver, i was told by the copper 'we know why he is out at this time of night', i said that i was talking about the speed the taxi was doing to which he said 'because taxi drivers keep an eye out for criminal activity, we sometimes are more lenient on them'. surely all people speeding should be stopped.

yeh havnt you read ur car tax renewal form that says if ur not a taxi drivin after midnight you will be stopped. and the next section says if you have a modded car youl b stopped every other day

People on phones winds the hell out of me! Its good when in an unmarked car and you spot them! Pull alongside them and toot them whilst holding hand to ear and they swear at you! They obviously cant see the uniform! They do shortly after though!

people on mobiles while driving are just asking for trouble imo. i work in an industrial port, and even though its considered private property i still use my bluetooth headset all the time. i spend ages on the mobile everyday and 9 times out of 10 use my headset. all i ever see is other people driving around with either the fone glued to their ears or on the steering whell writing a text. had a few near misses so just gave them a blast, flash and the finger

and dont get me started on taxis

the only reason i got rid of my first car was i had an accident with one the wrote it off. was coming over the brow of a hill in my escort estate (such a great first car, lift off oversteer :yum: ) road was a 60, and being new to driving and still fairly niave went over it at 60. there was a taxi doing a 3 point turn, just over the crest with no lights on (11pm) obviously nothing i could do. when the police got there they split us up as i was after his blood and bless the old dears they kept us apart (they were his fare) then he told the police he was parked on my side of the road facing the opp direction and i just hit him... then talking to a familly friend who is a cabby, she said that their liscence allows them to do manouvers like it    thankfully i was able to find 6 independant whitness'. turns out he had another write off 2 weeks before. was pulled up dropping his fare, then pulled out on a car with no signals, he was going to swing into the side road to go back on himself. no mirror checks etc...

thne i nearly hit him a few weeks ago, coming up to a roundaout in town, look around slow down etc, nothing, just about to go on, not having stopped so still got some momentum and woosh!!! i jump on the breaks, so does he, then i notice who it was... jump out and have my 2 pennies worth... more like a couple of grand well spent, fare gets out and refuses to pay :slayer:

I HATE TAXI DRIVERS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as far as I am aware taxi drivers have to abide by the roads EXACTLY the same as joe public!! The only exception is taxi bays and not wearing a seatbelt whilst having a fare. I hate them too!!!

good on ya, I have done a similar thing when a woman in a range rover nearly cleaned me out (had to drive onto pavement to avoid her), followed her to her house and gave her a roasting (she was only on phone for a min but still).

When I see someone on an A road on the phone, I actually aim for them, I drive into their lane, and either force them over, so they have to drop phone and steer, or once there was a guy with a baby in the passenger seat (in a chair thing) on a 20mph street, saw him from a distance, he was steering with his knees or something as one hand on phone the other behind his head, I pulled accross the street, stopped got out of the car and confronted the prick.

Although i do chase people down for other reasons too, there was a woman I saw at the weekend in a mk1 punto, and it was crabbing all over the shop, she nearly lost it and span it many times in a few miles, the whole back end was squ if, and the rear wheels were actually really narrow, like they had been smashed in by two trucks at the same time.

I followed and flashed her for a good 2miles, then she pulled off so I followed again, got along side her and forced her over, she was absolutly terrified of what i was going to do, and reached for her phone (I must have some kind of creapy look  ) so I walked backwards and pointed to the back end, she then goes, oh that, its been like that for a few months, bought it like that, seems OK enough althogh it does brake funny.

So I had a good chat with her about what to do, so if a woman comes on here with a red badly bodged mk1 then I sent her! I also advised her not to drive it any further as it was a deathtrap (coming from me thats a lot, as I get free cars and use them!).
